Flyway, Animated projection commissioned by Ballet Memphis, Spring Mix Performance 2019

Inspired by the North American route of avian migration known as the Mississippi Flyway, Flyway (2019) features original choreography by Steven McMahon. Both movements and visual elements within the set design reference the patterns and peculiarities of birds including a mating dance. Collaborator Kyle Statham assisted in animating Harmon’s cut paper collages. Animation runs 17minutes.
